UniCredit Bank S.A. (Romania) New Sandbox feature for better user experience

We’ve added several new features to our Romania PSD2 API Sandbox to enhance functionality and better user experience:

•  PIS - ROPAY - payment initiation using Alias (Phone Number). The phone number can be used in the msisdn (creditorAccount ) field in the payment body instead of 'iban' for ROPAY instant payments (RON).
•  PIS & AIS - SEPA 2025 Rulebooks - structured and hybrid address formats are available introduced to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and security of payment service users and providers. For bulk payments initiation only version of pain.001.001.09 is accepted.
•  AIS - GET TransactionList enhancement - a new field "transactionId" is available for booked and pending payments for a better payment tracking.

Please note that the Sandbox Test Data was updated as well and the new functionalities can be tested.

Due to maintenance activities, our production PSD2 APIs for

• UniCredit Bank Hungary Zrt., UniCredit Bank CZ Rep. and SK, UniCredit Bank Romania, UniCredit Bank Slovenia, UniCredit Bulbank (Bulgaria) and Zagrebačka banka d.d. (Croatia) will be unavailable on Saturday, 13.09.2025 between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. CEST
• UniCredit Bank CZ Rep. and SK will be unavailable on Saturday, 13.09.2025 between 10:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. CEST
• UniCredit Bank Romania will be unavailable on Tuesday, 16.09.2025 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. CEST.

Other countries, the Developer Portal and the Sandbox APIs will not be affected.

There are no changes on the APIs or documentation because of these activities.

Maintenance activities 14.09 and 28.09.2024

Due to maintenance activities, our APIs (production and Sandbox) for all countries may experience unavailability during following timeframes,

• on Sunday, 14.09.2025 between 03:30 a.m. CEST and the latest 10:30 a.m. CEST
• on Sunday, 28.09.2025 between 02:00 a.m. CEST and the latest 09:00 a.m. CEST.

Also the Developer Portal will be affected.

There are no changes on the APIs or documentation because of these activities.

UniCredit Bank Austria: Maintenance activities 09.09 and 11.09.2025

Due to maintenance activities, our production PSD2 APIs for

• UniCredit Bank Austria may be unavailable for about 60 minutes between 2 a.m. CEST and 5 a.m. CEST on Tuesday, 09.09.2025
• UniCredit Bank Austria and UniCredit S.p.A. (Italy) may be unavailable for about 60 minutes between 2 a.m. CEST and 5 a.m. CEST on Thursday, 11.09.2025.

Other countries, the Developer Portal and the Sandbox APIs will not be affected.

There are no changes on the APIs or documentation because of these activities.

Due to maintenance activities, our PSD2 APIs for all countries will be unavailable on Saturday, 06.09.2025 between 2 a.m. CEST and 5 a.m. CEST.

The Developer Portal and the Sandbox APIs will not be affected.

There are no changes on the APIs or documentation because of these activities.

Adoption of EUR in Bulgaria – Changes to APIs

With Bulgaria joining the Eurozone from 1.1.2026 we will be making some changes to our APIs to comply with the new currency and also to optimize the products we support.

The following changes will be implemented in our production APIs from 1.1.2026:

• BGN currency will no longer be supported for payment initiation and only the EUR currency will be allowed for domestic credit transfers
• The product domestic-credit-transfers-BGN will not be supported for payment initiation and
• All domestic credit transfers after the adoption of the euro must be initiated using the sepa-credit-transfers product, including intrabank payments in EUR
• Classic SEPA credit transfers (to members of the SEPA zone) will continue to be supported via the sepa-credit-transfers product
• The product domestic-budget-transfers-bgn will be supported indefinitely for initiating VAT and other payments to the local and government institution in the domestic currency – EUR
• Foreign currency payments in the same bank (intrabank) and to other banks still have to be initiated using the cross-border-credit-transfers product
• Transaction history and Payment details for payments processed before the euro adoption will be available in BGN
• The described changes will also be applied to bulk payments and periodic payments (standing orders)
• Domestic instant payments in EUR will be supported via the sepa-credit-transfers product (also bulk payments) by using the service level code INST
• Cross-border SEPA instant payments will be supported later in 2026

The same changes will be applied to our Sandbox environment later this year.

We will update with more news in the coming months as our euro adoption plan advances.

Other countries, the Developer Portal and the Sandbox APIs will not be affected.

Zagrebačka Banka d.d. : New Sandbox feature for better user experience

We’ve added several new features to our PSD2 API sandbox to enhance functionality and user experience:

Payment Initiation Service (PIS)

• a new payment product for cross-border instant payments is being introduced (instant-sepa-credit-transfers)
• new type of standing order - instant-domestic-credit-transfers-hr
• "funds Available" added as a new element with the payment order status
• ''PSU message'' - added as a new element with the payment order status
• payment order details have been expanded

Account Information Service (AIS)

• "with balance" option in account transaction queries
• display of existing contracted standing orders

AIS Consents -  Bank Offered only for ZB_CORPORATE

• change in process – eg. user with multiple legal entity IBANs, can have multiple active Consents

AIS Consents – ZB_RETAIL and ZB_CORPORATE

• user can have active consent simultaneously as both a natural person and a business client.

(Croatia), UniCredit Bank Hungary Zrt., UniCredit Bank Romania and UniCredit Bank CZ Rep. and SK will be unavailable between Saturday, 26.07.2025 5 p.m. CEST and Sunday, 27.07.2025 1 a.m. CEST.

The Developer Portal and the Sandbox APIs will not be affected.

Unicredit Bank Austria AG, UniCredit Bank GmbH, UniCredit S.p.A., buddy: new Sandbox feature Instant Payments

We are pleased to inform you that the new Sandbox Instant Payment functionality for UniCredit Bank Austria AG, UniCredit Bank GmbH, UniCredit S.p.A. and buddy is fully activated for Sandbox.

This development will allow TPPs to create Instant Periodic Payments and Instant Future Dated Payments for all countries and Instant Bulk Payments only for UniCredit S.p.A.

For the activation of the new functionality in the real API, we will inform you in due time.
